You're an experienced diver, but your dive buddy is not. Guys, I get this statement all the time.  It's Ok! I'm a NAUI Instructor and I'll hold your buddy's hand for the whole dive if I have too.  I have done it many times before.  Enjoy your dive without having to worry about your girlfriend, wife, child, or dive buddy.   True Story: One time this girl comes up to me before the dive and puts a twenty dollar bill in my hand and says, "Please don't let my husband drown, he's not very experienced."  Don't worry, I'll never tell your significant other that they're only worth twenty bucks! ;)
